Special hydrocyclone for petroleum
As a common separation and classification equipment, the working principle of hydrocyclone is centrifugal sedimentation. When the two-phase (or three-phase) mixture to be separated enters the hydrocyclone tangentially from the periphery of the hydrocyclone at a certain pressure, a strong three-dimensional elliptical strong rotational shear turbulent motion is generated. Due to the size difference (or density difference) between the coarse particles (or heavy phase) and the fine particles (or light phase), the centrifugal force, centripetal buoyancy, fluid drag and so on are different. Under the effect of centrifugal sedimentation, most of the coarse particles (or heavy phase) are discharged through the underflow port of the hydrocyclone, while most of the fine particles (or light phase) are discharged through the overflow pipe, So as to achieve the purpose of separation and classification.
Operation method of Hydrocyclone
1. Before commissioning, ensure that all connection points of hydrocyclone unit have been fastened, and remove all kinds of residues in pipeline and unit box, so as to avoid leakage and blockage after commissioning. Make sure that the valve of hydrocyclone put into operation is fully opened.
2. The valve can be fully opened (such as running hydrocyclone) or fully closed (such as standby hydrocyclone), but it is not allowed to be in the semi open state (that is, it is not allowed to control the flow with the valve).
3. If possible, please test with clean water first. The feed of hydrocyclone can be provided by pump or high position tank. If the pump and cyclone throughput match, the pressure gauge shows a constant reading. Make sure that the reading of the pressure gauge does not fluctuate. If there is obvious fluctuation, check the reason. The equipment is required to work under the pressure not higher than 0.3MPa.
4. When the equipment runs smoothly under normal pressure, check the leakage of connection points and take remedial measures if necessary.
5. Check the blockage caused by the residue entering the cyclone. The blockage of cyclone inlet will reduce the overflow and grit flow, and the blockage of cyclone grit flow will reduce or even cut off the grit flow, and sometimes cause severe vibration. In case of blockage, the feeding valve of hydrocyclone shall be closed in time to remove the blockage. In order to prevent clogging, facilities to prevent coarse materials and debris (such as chip removal screen) can be added to the feed tank of hydrocyclone group. At the same time, the feed tank should be emptied in time when stopping, so as to avoid clogging accidents caused by precipitation and high concentration when starting again.
6. When the equipment is proved to be in good operation by clear water test, it can be fed into slurry for operation.
